DSL Troubleshooting Sync No Surf "Static"
Solution Things to check for Sync No Surf "Static":

DSL problems can be separated into two main categories: sync but no surf, and no sync at all. (Sync stands for synchronization between the DSL modem and DSL equipment at the telephone company's central office.)

Sync is usually indicated by a light on your DSL modem. The sync light could be labeled a few different ways. Refer to your manual if you do not see a light labeled DSL, ADSL, Ready, Status or Sync. If this light is solid green, your modem is in SYNC. No SYNC is indicated by, a red or yellow light or a consistently blinking green light with a steady pulse.

NOTE: If this is a new account or new modem you should verify that the VPI/VCI are set as 0/35 in the DSL Modem. If it was working before on this DSL account then skip this step.
1. Power cycle every device. ( modem, computer, router, switch hub )
2. Bypassed any 3rd party hardware ( router, hub, switch )
3. Double check the ip address, subnet musk, DNS and gateway are all correct.
4. Make sure Nic drivers are all updated.
5. Try a differrect computer if possible.
6. Open a trouble ticket if problem persists.
